Deliscious food...exceptional wait staff!!

Food was great , the service was top notch.

Somehow my husband and I had completely different experiences when we had dinner here. While i thought it was ok and the waitstaff was fine, he recieved better service than I did. His glass was refilled several times while mine was not. The server made suggestions and when she brought dessert she gave him the perfect one and gave me the less pretty burnt one. It was comical. Overall it was fine and the food was good.

The Lobster Thermidor was delish and huge it's big enough for 2. Shouldn't have ordered an appetizer but that was great too! Took a doggie bag hope its half as good tonight

Only two times in my life of my 60 years have I enjoyed the cuisine more! That's quite a statement as I LOVE food and The Old Tavernier Restaurant provided an amazing venue and an amazing menu of gastric delight! My family and I visit the Florida Keys almost every year and we love the vast selection of restaurants available, But after trying The Old Tavernier, we made it a point to eat there almost every day. The staff always greeted us with a cheerful welcome and honest delightful service! After my first bite, I had to meet the Manager Andreas Kouskoulas and offer my sincere enjoyment of such a wonderful meal. The Greek Heritage of both the restaurant and most of the staff sweeps you off into a distant and wonderful world of Greece and her surrounding Islands for such a tasty and inviting dining experience you'll never forget and will always want to go back!

Come on man, you have one of the best testaments in the keys! You have to do better in your bar! It’s so hot!your bartenders and cooks, and customers are burning up! Other than that, this place is excellent!

Lovely atmosphere in this restaurant some of the tables are facing water food is very good and I have been here once a year or more for many years. After dinner visit the little souvenir shop downstairs

Outstanding food--service is great and selection is varied and broad. Love this restaurant. Been here before and will definitely be back.

A local favorite for years. They offer Italian and Greek choices as well as many nightly specials and soup of the day.The atmosphere is cosy and the service is consistently attentive and good.They have both outdoor and indoor seating and have two separate dining areas inside.My favorites are the grilled wedge salad when they offer it on special, the traditional Greek salad and their pasta dishes.

We have been going to the keys for years and never gave this place a second glance. It appeared to be a place with plastic menu's and s thousand screaming kids running around. Boy were we wrong! Thanks to a recommendation from my sister in law, and a lacking my scheduling aptitude, we were able to have dinner there tonight.It was one of the best meals we've had in the keys EVER!Spicy conch and a blacked shrimp appetizers were outstanding, salads with fresh dressings were perfect, and the hogfish, and chicken/shrimp entrees were out of this world great! Out server Gabby was a delightful young lady too! I can not recommend this place any more strongly!!

Phenomenal experience with fantastic service in the Keys. The food was amazing and Tracy, our server, made our dining experience that much more special. What a fantastic evening.

Excellent shrimp marinara and clams in lemon butter over angel hair. The prime Rib was gigantic and perfectly cooked. Tracy provided exceptional service.The appetizer was escargot with mashed potatoes, and was a tasteful pairing when combined with the garlic butter sauce.

The Coquilles St Jacques stole the show. The Lobster Thermidor was excellent. The Yellowtail Snapper was very well done. They have a diverse menu. We were out on the balcony. It's adjacent to a boat dock.

Everything was delicious and service was great. We had appetizers through desserts and no one had a single disappointing bite. Nice decor and views or the harbor. The seafood dishes were my favorite...or maybe the tiramisu.

Food and service was wonderful! The special, coconut encrusted yellowtail with risotto and grilled asparagus is a keeper!

Had dinner there 2 nights in a row and it was great. Tried the seafood pasta and the 2nd night had the veal ..... Just Awesome both times. The waitress both nights were fantastic. The second night we were in a party of 11. Great job

Old Tav. This place has been a fixture in the keys for over 30 years! You don't last that long here with out providing something special. This is a very nice fine dining establishment that has a great bar and happy hour as well as a favored Pizza. The menu always has some special items to make the night feel like an event. I had lobster thermidor. WONDERFUL! The wine list is great as well. Atmosphere is upscale for a nice night out with family and friends. It has a little outdoor seating overlooking a canal full of boats. If you want to take the family to a nice dress up outing, this should be at the top of your list. It will not disappoint.

Amazing food and even better service

This was the best meal in the keys!! We have been coming to the Keys for more that 10 years, and this meal is without a question the best. We had appetizers and a lobster thermodore and finished with desserts. Everything was perfect. We even had some of the best martinis in many years. Our Server Nicky was fantastic and provided a great experience... I would give more that 5 stars if I could.

The best restaurant in the area. I have been to several restaurants in islamorada, this one beats the competition. Try it, you will not regret it.

Staff and service were quick and attentive, friendly and pleasant. Food was amazing! My boyfriend and I both had the filet mignon with mashed potatoes and vegetables. So. Much. Flavor. A little pricey, but worry every penny!!! Will definitely come back if we come back to the area!

My family and I have been coming to The Keys for years and always visit Old Tavernier Restaurant to enjoy a great meal. It is a pricer option in Islamorada but the portions are big and quality is always very good. Friendly and attentive staff. Great place to celebrate a special occasion or nice night out.

Casual fine dining. Casual and comfortable yet a little higher end/fine. Menu has nice breadth with many seafood and Italian options. Service was very good. The food was a mixed bag. Half of the six of us really enjoyed their food and the other half were meh. Overall, everyone had a good time and we wouldn't hesitate to meet here again.

It is cozy, though a little loud... Historical... Great Food and Tapis, a Bar to sit at... Fun, exuberant, lively... Traditional, no music, during the daytime there are things for tourists to by and kayaks, canoes, boats and jets skis to rent nearby... I highly recommend going to enjoy the experience.... 5 🌟 stars!!!

Great ambiance, friendly, appetizing food. It is not a cheap place.The only negative experience was the wait. It took so long that my daughter said "I'm no longer hungry". The restaurant wasn't busy

Incomparable dining experience! The Florida Lobster was divine! Also the truffle cheese on the mushroom appetizer-WOW! Our server was delightful! Great experience!

I was on a fishing charter and asked the captain if he could recommend a restaurant that would cook my catch and this is where he recommended. He told me to ask for the Morgan style preparation. I brought my ambor jack in and it was delicious!

Possibly THE best filet mignon we've ever had -- I didn't use the steak knife they brought me -- I CUT IT WITH A FORK!! Service was impeccable and everyone was *beyond* friendly. Easily the best dining experience we've had in the Florida Keys.
